The Economic Development Commission (EDC) is an advisory body to the Mayor and Council and is charged with the responsibility of researching, reviewing, and making recommendations on issues related to the economic development of the Town of Smithsburg. The EDC will review opportunities in which the town can expand existing businesses, attract desirable new business, and revitalize existing businesses and the community as a whole.
