The Economic Development Commission (EDC) is an advisory body to the Mayor and Council with the purpose of fostering an economic environment that attracts and retains businesses, promotes job creation, and supports a growing tax base. As part of its responsibilities, the EDC is charged with researching, reviewing, and making recommendations on issues related to the economic development of the Town, including: opportunities in which the town can expand existing businesses, attract desirable new business, and revitalize existing businesses and the community as a whole.
